We can help make your riding dreams a reality, whether you are a beginner or advanced ‘A’ Circuit competitor.
Our programs are under the direction of our head trainer Morgan (Baugher) Crabbs, a successful “A” circuit hunter/jumper rider. Morgan is an enthusiastic instructor with a keen eye for determining each rider’s needs and abilities. She can help you progress past the “heels down” factory lesson, and make riding fun and rewarding.
Morgan is a professional instructor, and has studied under top professionals such as Joe Fargis, Ken Krome, Edna Lytle, Patty Foster & Mary Lisa Nicholson. Whether showing is your goal, or you only seek to improve your riding skills, Morgan can help guide you. We offer private and group lessons on professionally trained horses. Although we specialize in hunters and jumpers, all disciplines are welcome.
Originally from England, Mel has been in the USA since 2005 when she came to help Morgan set up Pony Pastures LLC. Mel and Morgan met and studied together at The University of Central England (Morgan obtaining a degree in Media and Mel in Business) and discussed the possibility of starting a boarding, training and lesson facility on the Baugher's farm after graduation. As it was a mutual dream to work with horses and not follow the usual path, they decided to make the dream a reality.
Mel learned to ride at home in England from the age of eight and was involved in exercising and training many ponies and horses. She is a competent rider and teacher who can teach any level of rider according to their preferences and circumstances. Mel likes to use games and challenges to make learning fun while encouraging riders to improve their skills and confidence on the horse. Since coming to the USA, Mel has been trained by Sandy Lytle and Ross Fields as well as Morgan.
You are also welcome to bring your own horse or arrange a lesson at your farm (please be aware that there is more availability when students come to our farm).
